Welcome to CaseStacks

Get oriented with CaseStacks: what the platform offers, how to find content, and how to start learning.

Updated Aug 21, 2026

Welcome to CaseStacks โ€” a case-based radiology education platform. Whether you're a medical student, resident, or practicing radiologist, you can work through cases at your own pace, earn CME credits, and build skills using the built-in study tools.

What You Can Do

Browse radiology cases. The case index lists every case on the site, with filters for modality, course, and whether a case is free. Many cases are organized into structured courses (see below).

Use the interactive DICOM viewer. Scroll through CT and MRI studies, adjust window/level, measure structures, and zoom โ€” see Using the DICOM Viewer.

Earn CME credits. Completing cases automatically tracks credits that you can later claim for an AMA PRA Category 1โ„ข certificate issued through NWAHEC โ€” see Claiming CME Credits.

Ask Voxel AI. On any case you have access to, click Ask Voxel AI to chat with an AI tutor that has context about the case. See AI Tools & Usage Limits.

Try Free Cases First

Free cases are marked with a FREE badge. They're typically the first one or two cases in each lesson. Browse the case index and use the Free filter to see all of them in one place.

Courses and Collections

CaseStacks organizes cases into courses so you can study systematically:

  • Call Preparation โ€” Daily / overnight call prep across modalities (Radiographs, Cross-Sectional, All-Imaging tracks)
  • Neuro Fellowship โ€” Structured neuro content including Brain Tumors, Neurodegenerative Diseases, Congenital Hearing Loss, and more
  • Lessons โ€” Modality- or topic-focused lessons (e.g., Chest CT, Body CT, MSK XR, Pediatric XR, Ultrasound, KUB)
  • CT Mimics โ€” Curated collection highlighting common interpretive pitfalls

See the pricing page for the current catalog and which plans include which courses.

CaseStacks on Mobile

CaseStacks also has apps for iOS and Android. They use the same account as the website at no extra cost, so your progress, notes, saved items, badges, and CME are there when you sign in. There is nothing to export or import.

For install and sign-in steps, see the article Getting the CaseStacks Mobile App in the Help Center.
