Search & Browsing

How to search for content, filter results, and browse available cases.

Updated Aug 21, 2026

Search

Press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac) to open the search modal from anywhere on the site. You can also click the search icon in the header.

Start typing and results appear instantly โ€” no need to press Enter. Results show the title, an excerpt with your search terms highlighted, and a type badge (Case, Lesson, Term, or Help).

In the App

Search is at the top right of the main screens in the mobile app. It covers the same content: cases, lessons, terms, and help articles. There are no filters or scopes in the app. Cases and lessons open in the app, while terms and help results open in a browser.

Filters

Use the filters below the search bar to narrow results:

  • Type โ€” Show only Cases, Lessons, Terms, or Help articles
  • Collection โ€” Filter by collections such as Call Prep or Pediatric Normals
  • Completed only โ€” Show only content you've already completed (logged-in users)
  • Saved only โ€” Show only content you've saved (logged-in users)

Search Page

There is also a dedicated search page with the same functionality if you prefer a full-page view.

Case Index

The Case Index is a browsable catalog of every case on the site. Unlike search, which finds specific content by keyword, the Case Index lets you browse all available diagnoses at a glance.

You can filter the Case Index by:

  • Diagnosis โ€” Search by diagnosis name
  • Course โ€” Filter by available courses such as Call Preparation or Neuro Fellowship
  • Modality โ€” Toggle modalities that appear in the catalog (e.g., CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound)
  • Free โ€” Show only free cases
