  • Heterogeneously enhancing pineal region mass measuring 4 x 3.4 x 3 cm
  • The mass is predominantly T1 hypointense and T2 hyperintense and demonstrates extensive susceptibility artifact along its periphery
  • Mild adjacent parenchymal edema in the right thalamus
  • Associated downward mass effect on the tectum and cerebral aqueduct with resultant obstructive hydrocephalus
