Findings
CT
- Heterogeneous, intra-axial right frontal mass with internal areas of hyperattenuation likely representing intralesional hemorrhage
- Surrounding edema and local mass effect with crowding of the frontal horn of the right lateral ventricle and right-to-left midline shift anteriorly
MRI
- Heterogeneous, intra-axial right frontal mass measuring 5.5 x 5 x 4 cm
- T1/T2 hyperintense ovoid component posteriorly which may relate to hemorrhage or proteinaceous contents
- Associated linear and nodular areas of enhancement, particularly along the periphery of the mass and along internal septations
- Irregular areas of internal restricted diffusion
- Relatively small amount of surrounding parenchymal edema
- Associated mass effect with local sulcal effacement, crowding of the frontal horn of the right lateral ventricle, and 7 mm right-to-left midline shift anteriorly
