- Mild dependent atelectasis

- Dilated appendix with internal noncalcified appendicoliths, mural thickening/hyperenhancement involving the entire appendix and extending into the base of the cecum, and periappendiceal fat stranding
- No loculated fluid collection or free air
- Small volume free intraperitoneal fluid layering in the anatomic pelvis
- Hepatomegaly
- Subcentimeter hypoattenuating lesion in the interpolar left kidney, which is too small to characterize
- Punctate nonobstructing left renal calculi
MSK
- No acute findings
Diagnosis
Acute suppurative appendicitis
Sample Report
Acute appendicitis. No evidence of perforation or abscess. Inflammatory changes extend to involve the base of the cecum.
Nonobstructing left nephrolithiasis.
