Findings
CT
- Mildly hyperattenuating pineal region mass with a cystic component along its right margin
- Pineal calcification is displaced along the superior aspect of the mass
- Associated obstructive hydrocephalus at the level of the cerebral aqueduct
MRI
- Heterogeneously-enhancing pineal region mass measuring 2 x 2 x 2.1 cm with extension into the right greater than left thalami and midbrain tectum
- Mild patchy corresponding restricted diffusion
- Small internal cystic components eccentric to the right
- Associated obstructive hydrocephalus at the level of the cerebral aqueduct
