Indication: Left-sided weakness

Findings

CT

  • Cystic mass with a solid nodule along its lateral wall in the right frontoparietal region
  • No corresponding calcification

MRI

  • Large cystic mass in the right frontoparietal region measuring 6 x 5.7 x 4 cm
  • Enhancing mural nodule along its lateral wall measuring up to 2.5 cm in craniocaudal span
  • Wispy strands of enhancement extend from this nodule to the superior margin of the cyst
  • Thin peripheral enhancement of the cystic component
  • Incomplete internal signal suppression on FLAIR
  • No corresponding restricted diffusion
  • Mild surrounding vasogenic edema
  • Associated mass effect with crowding of the atrium of the right lateral ventricle and 3 mm right-to-left midline shift
  • No evidence of downward transtentorial herniation or hydrocephalus
