Findings
CT
- Large sellar and suprasellar mass which is mildly hyperattenuating relative to brain parenchyma
- No corresponding calcification
- Smooth expansion of the sella
MRI
- T1/T2 isointense, homogeneously enhancing sellar and suprasellar mass measuring 2.5 x 2.4 x 4 cm
- Diffuse associated restricted diffusion
- Waist-like narrowing of the mass in the region of the diaphragma sellae
- The mass contacts and uplifts the optic chiasm
- Tumor extends beyond the lateral carotid tangent line on the right and slightly beyond the intercarotid line on the left with partial encasement of the bilateral internal carotid arteries
