Findings

  • Ill-defined heterogenous marrow changes in the proximal tibial metaphysis with periosteal reaction along the lateral proximal tibial metaphysis
  • No acute fracture or malalignment
  • No joint effusion

Diagnosis

Osteomyelitis

Sample Report

Ill-defined heterogenous marrow changes in the proximal tibial metaphysis with periosteal reaction along the lateral proximal tibial metaphysis. Given lack of a healing fracture line, these findings raise concern for osteomyelitis or underlying neoplasm. Recommend MRI for further evaluation.

No acute fracture or malalignment.

No joint effusion.
