Findings
- Offset of the lateral masses of C1 with respect to the occipital condyles consistent with atlanto-occipital subluxation
- Hyperattenuating material in the anterior aspect of the spinal canal at the foramen magnum extending inferiorly to the level of C2-C3 without significant mass effect on the cord
- No acute cervical spine fracture
- Partially imaged acute fracture of the posterior left third rib
- Partially imaged endotracheal and enteric tubes
Diagnosis
Bilateral atlanto-occipital subluxation
Epidural hematoma
Sample Report
Offset of the lateral masses of C1 with respect to the occipital condyles concerning for ligamentous injury. Recommend MRI for further evaluation.
Hyperattenuating material in the anterior aspect of the spinal canal at the foramen magnum extending inferiorly to the level of C2-C3 likely represents an epidural hematoma.
No significant mass effect on the cord. No acute cervical spine fracture.
Partially imaged acute fracture of the posterior left third rib.
