Findings
- Acute minimally displaced fracture through the anterior superior corner of the left C2 lateral mass
- Adjacent coronally oriented fracture line extends through the anterior C2 vertebral body cortex without propagation into the odontoid
- Mild anterolisthesis of C2 on C3
- Advanced degenerative change with disc-osteophyte complexes resulting in severe canal stenosis at C3-C4 through C5-C6 and varying degrees of neural foraminal stenosis
Diagnosis
C2 fracture
Sample Report
Acute minimally displaced fracture through the anterior superior corner of the left C2 lateral mass. Adjacent coronally oriented fracture line extends through the anterior C2 vertebral body cortex without propagation into the odontoid.
Mild anterolisthesis of C2 on C3 is favored degenerative in etiology given multilevel advanced spondylosis and degenerative facet disease without convincing evidence of traumatic malalignment.
