Findings
- Acute minimally displaced four-part C1 burst fracture (Jefferson fracture)
- Acute minimally displaced type II odontoid fracture
- Acute minimally displaced right C1 transverse process avulsion fracture
- Acute nondisplaced fracture extending through the C6-C7 disc space without malalignment or bony retropulsion
- Slight asymmetric widening of the right atlantooccipital joint
- Mild prevertebral edema throughout the cervical spine
Diagnosis
Jefferson fracture
Type II odontoid fracture
Additional subtle fractures
Sample Report
Acute minimally displaced four-part C1 burst fracture (Jefferson fracture). Slight asymmetric widening of the right atlantooccipital joint raises concern for corresponding ligamentous injury at the craniocervical junction, though there is no substantial subluxation.
Acute minimally displaced type II odontoid fracture.
Acute minimally displaced right C1 transverse process avulsion fracture.
Acute nondisplaced fracture extending through the C6-C7 disc space without malalignment or bony retropulsion.
Mild prevertebral edema throughout the cervical spine. MRI could further assess for ligamentous injury.
