Findings
- No acute intracranial hemorrhage, substantial intracranial mass effect, or hydrocephalus
- Small area of hypoattenuation in the left subinsular white matter
Diagnosis
No acute intracranial abnormality
Sample Report
A small area of hypoattenuation in the left subinsular white matter likely represents a dilated perivascular space or chronic infarct. However, MRI brain with and without contrast should be considered for further evaluation if there is ongoing clinical concern for acute intracranial pathology.
