Findings
- Areas of hypoattenuation and loss of gray-white differentiation in the medial right greater than left cerebellar hemispheres
- Hyperattenuating appearance of the intradural right vertebral artery
Diagnosis
Posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) infarct
Sample Report
Areas of hypoattenuation and loss of gray-white differentiation in the medial right greater than left cerebellar hemispheres, consistent with acute/early subacute PICA territory infarcts. No significant mass effect or evidence of hemorrhagic transformation.
Hyperattenuating appearance of the intradural right vertebral artery, suggesting the presence of thrombus.
