Findings
- Hypoattenuation with loss of gray-white differentiation in the right PCA territory, including the right occipital lobe and ventrolateral right thalamus
Diagnosis
Right PCA territory infarct
Sample Report
Hypoattenuation and loss of gray-white differentiation in the right occipital lobe concerning for acute/early subacute ischemia. Hypoattenuation in the ventrolateral right thalamus represents an age-indeterminate infarct. Both of these areas are in the right PCA territory. MRI could further assess the extent of infarct.
No mass effect or evidence of hemorrhagic transformation.
Discussion
- Remember that the thalamus is supplied by the PCA
