Demographics: 49 years old, Female
Indication: Unable to walk

Findings

  • Extensive white matter hypoattenuation throughout the left cerebral hemisphere
  • Associated mass effect with 6 mm left to right midline shift

Diagnosis

Metastatic breast cancer

Sample Report

Extensive vasogenic edema within the left cerebral hemisphere concerning for the presence of an underlying neoplasm or infection. Brain MRI with and without contrast is recommended for further evaluation.

Associated mass effect resulting in 6 mm of left to right midline shift. No evidence of transtentorial herniation or hydrocephalus.

No acute hemorrhage.
