- Large volume acute subarachnoid hemorrhage particularly concentrated in the suprasellar, ambient, quadrigeminal plate, and prepontine cisterns as well as within the sylvian fissures
- Small volume blood products layering in the occipital horns of the lateral ventricles with mild, if any, hydrocephalus
Diagnosis
Basilar tip aneurysm rupture
Sample Report
Large volume acute subarachnoid hemorrhage particularly concentrated in the suprasellar, ambient, quadrigeminal plate, and prepontine cisterns as well as within the sylvian fissures. Findings are concerning for ruptured aneurysm with likely site of rupture from the tip of the basilar artery. Recommend neurosurgery consultation and head CTA for further evaluation. Small volume blood products layering in the occipital horns of the lateral ventricles with mild, if any, hydrocephalus.
