Demographics: 42 years old, Female
Indication: Headache

Findings

  • Large volume acute subarachnoid hemorrhage throughout the right greater than left cerebral hemispheres with the largest concentration of hemorrhage in the right sylvian fissure and suprasellar cistern
  • Mild polypoid mucosal thickening of the right maxillary sinus

Diagnosis

MCA aneurysm rupture

Sample Report

Large volume acute subarachnoid hemorrhage concerning for ruptured aneurysm with distribution suggesting a source from the right ICA terminus or right MCA. Recommend neurosurgery consultation and head CTA for further evaluation.

No hydrocephalus or herniation.
