Findings
- Acute parenchymal hematoma centered in the genu of the corpus callosum with intraventricular extension. Blood products layer in the right greater than left lateral ventricles as well as within the third and fourth ventricles
- Large volume acute subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Global ventricular dilation
- Bihemispheric sulcal effacement with partial effacement of the basal cisterns and crowding of the foramen magnum
Diagnosis
Anterior cerebral artery aneurysm rupture
Sample Report
Findings concerning for ruptured aneurysm with large volume subarachnoid and intraventricular hemorrhage. A parenchymal hematoma centered in the genu of the corpus callosum favors a source of bleed from the anterior cerebral arteries. Recommend neurosurgical consultation and head CTA for further evaluation.
Global ventricular dilation concerning for developing hydrocephalus.
Bihemispheric sulcal effacement with findings concerning for developing downward transtentorial and tonsillar herniation including partial effacement of the basal cisterns and crowding of the foramen magnum.
