Findings
- Acute, comminuted, impacted, intraarticular distal radial fracture with 1.5 cm volar displacement and comminution of the distal articular surface
- Likely extension into the distal radioulnar joint
- Acute ulnar styloid fracture with mild radial displacement
- Acquired ulnar positive variance
- Mild degenerative changes of the first MCP joint
Diagnosis
Smith fracture (Frykman VIII)
Sample Report
Acute, comminuted, impacted, intraarticular distal radial fracture with 1.5 cm volar displacement and comminution of the distal articular surface. Likely extension into the distal radioulnar joint. The distal radial fracture fragment maintains its articulation with the carpus.
Acute ulnar styloid fracture with mild radial displacement.
Acquired ulnar positive variance.
Mild degenerative changes of the first MCP joint.
