Demographics: 25 years old, Male
Indication: Trauma

Findings

  • Acute right iliac crescent fracture extending into the right sacroiliac joint with borderline diastasis inferiorly
  • Acute nondisplaced fracture of the left pubic body extending into the superior pubic ramus
  • Acute nondisplaced fracture of the left inferior pubic ramus
  • Acute right posterior wall acetabular fracture with fracture fragments projecting inferior to the right femoral head
  • Excreted contrast material in the urinary bladder

Diagnosis

Unstable pelvic ring injury (LC II)

Sample Report

Unstable pelvic ring injury (lateral compression type II / LC II) and right posterior acetabular wall fracture as detailed below:

Acute right iliac crescent fracture extending into the right sacroiliac joint with borderline diastasis inferiorly.

Acute left obturator ring fractures including a nondisplaced fracture of the pubic body extending into the superior pubic ramus and a nondisplaced fracture of the inferior pubic ramus.

Acute right posterior wall acetabular fracture with fracture fragments projecting inferior to the right femoral head. 

Bilateral femoral heads project over the acetabula.
