Indication: Left knee pain, twisting injury and felt a "pop"

Findings

  • Acute, mildly displaced avulsion fracture adjacent to the lateral tibial plateau
  • Overlying soft tissue swelling

Diagnosis

Segond fracture

Sample Report

Acute, mildly displaced avulsion fracture adjacent to the lateral tibial plateau (Segond fracture) with overlying soft tissue swelling. Recommend MRI for further evaluation given the close association between these fractures and ACL tears.

No joint malalignment.

No joint effusion.

Joint spaces are maintained.
