Indication: Trauma

Findings

  • Acute comminuted intraarticular calcaneal fracture with mild impaction
  • Age-indeterminate avulsion fracture from the tip of the lateral malleolus
  • Ankle mortise is congruent
  • Bony protuberance along the posterolateral aspect of the lateral malleolus may represent sequela of superior retinacular avulsion or an osteochondroma
  • Large os trigonum
  • Dorsal talar neck enthesophyte
  • Extensive soft tissue swelling about the ankle

Diagnosis

Calcaneal fracture

Sample Report

Acute comminuted intraarticular calcaneal fracture with mild impaction.

Age-indeterminate avulsion fracture from the tip of the lateral malleolus.

Ankle mortise is congruent.

Extensive soft tissue swelling about the ankle.
