- Ankle mortise is congruent
- Bony protuberance along the posterolateral aspect of the lateral malleolus may represent sequela of superior retinacular avulsion or an osteochondroma
- Large os trigonum
- Dorsal talar neck enthesophyte
- Extensive soft tissue swelling about the ankle
