Findings

  • Marked cardiomegaly with a left subclavian biventricular ICD in place
  • Extensive right pleural thickening and calcification
  • Airspace opacification in the right midlung and base
  • Mild volume loss in the right hemithorax
  • Surgical changes of median sternotomy and CABG

Diagnosis

Fibrothorax

Sample Report

Extensive, smooth appearing right pleural thickening and calcification compatible with fibrothorax, which may relate to remote infection or trauma.

Airspace opacities in the right midlung and base may represent chronic changes, though superimposed acute airspace disease is not excluded. CT could further evaluate if clinically indicated.

Marked cardiomegaly.
