Demographics: 66 years old, Male
Indication: Chest pain

Findings

  • Rounded area of calcification near the left ventricular apex
  • No focal airspace disease or edema
  • No pleural effusion or pneumothorax
  • Normal size and configuration of the cardiopericardial silhouette
  • Left subclavian approach ICD with lead in the right ventricle and skin staples overlying the insertion site

Diagnosis

Calcified left ventricular aneurysm

Sample Report

Rounded area of calcification near the left ventricular apex likely represents a calcified left ventricular aneurysm. Recommend correlation with prior imaging (including echocardiography) to document stability.

No radiographic evidence of acute cardiopulmonary disease.
