Findings
- Left hilar mass
- Left upper lobe collapse with an aerated portion of the superior segment of the left lower lobe interposed between the atelectatic left upper lobe and the mediastinum (Luftsichel sign)
- Blunting of the right costophrenic sulcus
Diagnosis
Left upper lobe collapse
Sample Report
Left hilar mass concerning for primary malignancy with associated left upper lobe collapse. Recommend chest CT for further evaluation. Blunting of the right costophrenic sulcus which may relate to a small effusion, scarring, or overlying skin fold.
