  • Mild dependent atelectasis/scarring in both lower lobes and the lingula
  • Low density mediastinal fluid extending to the inferior margin of the aortic arch, consistent with fluid within the superior aortic recess of the transverse sinus

Upper abdomen

  • No acute findings

Diagnosis

High-riding pericardium (anatomic variant)

Sample Report

High-riding pericardium (anatomic variant) without evidence of traumatic aortic injury.

Soft tissue laceration/contusion along the anterior upper left chest and neck.
