Ruptured hepatic adenoma

Sample Report

Large hepatic subcapsular hematoma measuring 14 x 5 x 16 cm, which is in continuity with an intrahepatic hematoma in the inferior aspect of the right hepatic lobe measuring 6 x 6 x 7 cm. Adjacent to the parenchymal hematoma, there are ill-defined hyperenhancing hepatic lesions in segments 5 and 8, which are favored to represent adenomas in the absence of history of malignancy and are the likely source for hemorrhage. Recommend surgical evaluation and followup liver protocol MRI for further assessment.
