Demographics: 51 years old, Male
Indication: Epigastric pain

Findings

Lower chest

  • Mild dependent atelectasis
  • Small hiatal hernia

Abdomen/Pelvis

  • Multiple radiopaque common bile duct calculi including a 3 mm calculus near the Sphincter of Oddi and a more proximal calculus measuring 5 x 11 mm
  • Hyperenhancement of the extrahepatic bile duct walls and gallbladder wall with mild adjacent fat stranding
  • No gallbladder or biliary duct dilation
  • Bilateral subcentimeter renal hypoattenuating lesions, which are too small to characterize
  • Mild prostatomegaly
  • Retroaortic left renal vein

MSK

  • No acute findings
  • Multilevel degenerative changes of the spine, most pronounced at L5-S1

Diagnosis

Ascending cholangitis

Sample Report

Choledocholithiasis with findings concerning for ascending cholangitis. No biliary duct dilation.
