  • Mild right preseptal soft tissue stranding

    • Curvilinear calcification in the upper inner post-septal soft tissues bilaterally corresponds to the trochlea, a normal physiologic/developmental variant.

Discussion

  • The superior oblique muscle passes through the trochlea, which is a pulley-like structure that is adjacent to the medial wall of the orbit.

    • Calcification of the trochlea is a common incidental variant and can be unilateral or bilateral.
