Demographics: 6 months old, Female
Indication: Chronic respiratory failure

Findings

  • Tracheostomy tube with tip overlying the T2 vertebral body
  • Right lower extremity approach PICC with tip overlying the upper inferior vena cava
  • Gastrostomy tube overlies the left upper quadrant
  • Hyperexpanded lungs with coarse interstitial markings and architectural distortion
  • Paucity of bowel gas in the abdomen

Diagnosis

Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD)

Sample Report

Tracheostomy tube with tip overlying the T2 vertebral body.

Right lower extremity approach PICC with tip overlying the upper inferior vena cava.

Gastrostomy tube overlies the left upper quadrant.

Hyperexpanded lungs with coarse interstitial markings and architectural distortion, consistent with changes of chronic lung disease (bronchopulmonary dysplasia).

Paucity of bowel gas in the abdomen, which is nonspecific.
