Demographics: 16 years old, Female
Indication: Fall

Findings

  • Acute minimally depressed medial tibial plateau fracture with a split component extending alongside the lateral tibial spine
  • Acute nondisplaced fibular head fracture
  • Posterior subluxation of the tibia relative to the femur
  • Moderate-sized lipohemarthrosis
  • Soft tissue swelling overlying the anteromedial knee

Diagnosis

Medial tibial plateau fracture (Schatzker IV)

Posterior knee subluxation/dislocation

Sample Report

Acute minimally depressed medial tibial plateau fracture with a split component extending alongside the lateral tibial spine. Overlying soft tissue swelling.

Acute nondisplaced fibular head fracture.

Posterior subluxation of the tibia relative to the femur, which places the patient at risk for vascular injury in the popliteal fossa.

Moderate-sized lipohemarthrosis.
