Findings

  • No radiopaque foreign body
  • Asymmetric hyperexpansion of the right lung with persistent hyperexpansion on the right side down decubitus view
  • No focal airspace disease, pleural effusion, or pneumothorax
  • Normal size and configuration of the cardiothymic silhouette

Diagnosis

Aspirated radiolucent foreign body

Sample Report

No radiopaque foreign body. Asymmetric hyperexpansion of the right lung with evidence of air trapping on the decubitus view, concerning for aspirated radiolucent foreign body.

No focal airspace disease, pleural effusion, or pneumothorax.

Normal size and configuration of the cardiothymic silhouette.
