Demographics: 32 years old, Female
Indication: Seizure

Findings

  • Tangle of vessels centered in the left precentral gyrus at the location of the motor hand knob measuring 2 x 1.5 cm with feeding arterial branches from the superior and inferior divisions of the left MCA and superficial venous drainage via an engorged left cortical vein to the superior sagittal sinus
  • No acute infarct, hemorrhage, mass effect, or hydrocephalus

Diagnosis

Arteriovenous malformation (AVM)

Sample Report

Arteriovenous malformation centered in the left precentral gyrus at the location of the motor hand knob measuring 2 x 1.5 cm with feeding arterial branches from the superior and inferior divisions of the left MCA and superficial venous drainage via an engorged left cortical vein to the superior sagittal sinus. No evidence of intranidal aneurysm or deep venous drainage.

No acute infarct, hemorrhage, mass effect, or hydrocephalus.
