Indication: Left eye injury

Findings

  • Ruptured left globe containing a metallic foreign body with associated vitreous hemorrhage and intraocular gas
  • No acute facial fracture identified, though fluid layering in the left maxillary sinus could represent hemosinus related to an occult fracture
  • Inflammatory mucosal thickening of the paranasal sinuses

Diagnosis

Globe rupture with foreign body

Sample Report

Ruptured left globe containing a metallic foreign body with associated vitreous hemorrhage and intraocular gas. No retrobulbar hemorrhage or proptosis.

No acute facial fracture identified, though fluid layering in the left maxillary sinus could represent hemosinus related to an occult fracture.

Inflammatory mucosal thickening of the paranasal sinuses.
