Demographics: 73 years old, Male
Indication: Trauma

Findings

  • Acute right zygomaticomaxillary complex fracture with nondisplaced fracture of the zygomatic arch, mildly displaced fractures of the zygomatic and frontal bones near the zygomaticofrontal suture, mildly displaced fractures of the lateral and inferior orbital walls, and mildly displaced fractures of the anterior, posterior, and medial walls of the maxillary sinus. The orbital floor fracture involves the infraorbital foramen
  • Small lateral retrobulbar, extraconal hematoma with right proptosis
  • Herniation of retroantral fat through the posterior wall of the right maxillary sinus
  • Right maxillary hemosinus
  • Mild mucosal thickening of the paranasal sinuses with partial opacification of the right frontal sinus, right frontoethmoidal recess, and multiple right ethmoid air cells

Acute right zygomaticomaxillary complex (ZMC) fracture with nondisplaced fracture of the zygomatic arch, mildly displaced fractures of the zygomatic and frontal bones near the zygomaticofrontal suture, mildly displaced fractures of the lateral and inferior orbital walls, and mildly displaced fractures of the anterior, posterior, and medial walls of the maxillary sinus. The orbital floor fracture involves the infraorbital foramen.

Small lateral retrobulbar, extraconal hematoma with right proptosis. No imaging evidence of extraocular muscle entrapment. Globes appear symmetric.

Herniation of retroantral fat through the posterior wall of the right maxillary sinus. Right maxillary hemosinus.
