Case #28

Findings

  • Acute minimally displaced fracture of the left sacral ala
  • Favored remote L2 superior endplate compression fracture with 10% height loss and no bony retropulsion
  • No traumatic malalignment. Lumbar levocurvature and minimal leftward translation of L4 on L5 are favored degenerative in etiology
  • Multilevel degenerative disc and facet disease contributing to moderate canal stenosis at L3-L4 and L4-L5

Diagnosis

Sacral fracture

Sample Report

Acute minimally displaced fracture of the left sacral ala.

Favored remote L2 superior endplate compression fracture with 10% height loss and no bony retropulsion.

No traumatic malalignment.

Lumbar levocurvature and minimal leftward translation of L4 on L5 are favored degenerative in etiology.

Multilevel degenerative disc and facet disease contributing to moderate canal stenosis at L3-L4 and L4-L5.
