Demographics: 66 years old, Female
Indication: Trauma

Findings

Diagnosis

Teardrop fracture

Sample Report

Acute minimally displaced corner ("teardrop") fracture involving the anteroinferior endplate of C2. Consider MRI to further assess for ligamentous injury.

Acute nondisplaced fracture through the anterior tubercle of the left C2 transverse process extending into the transverse foramen. Recommend neck CTA to assess for vascular injury.

Prominent central disc herniation at C2-C3 which effaces the ventral CSF and contacts and mildly deforms the ventral cord. Though age-indeterminate, this could represent an acute traumatic disc herniation, which could be further assessed with noncontrast C spine MRI.

No traumatic malalignment.
