Findings
- Area of hypoattenuation and loss of gray-white differentiation in the left parietal lobe along the MCA/PCA watershed zone
- Area of hypoattenuation in the left caudate head
- Patchy subcortical and periventricular white matter hypoattenuation
- Calcified intracranial atherosclerosis
- Left ethmoid osteoma
Diagnosis
Acute left MCA/PCA and ACA/MCA watershed infarcts
Acute left caudate head infarct
Sample Report
Area of loss of gray-white differentiation in the left parietal lobe along the MCA/PCA watershed zone concerning for acute infarct. No evidence of hemorrhagic transformation or associated mass effect. Recommend brain MRI without contrast for further evaluation.
Age-indeterminate left caudate head infarct, which can also be further evaluated with MRI.
No acute hemorrhage or mass effect.
