Demographics: 56 years old, Female
Indication: Right arm weakness

Findings

  • Area of hypoattenuation and loss of gray-white differentiation in the left parietal lobe along the MCA/PCA watershed zone
  • Area of hypoattenuation in the left caudate head
  • Patchy subcortical and periventricular white matter hypoattenuation
  • Calcified intracranial atherosclerosis
  • Left ethmoid osteoma

Diagnosis

Acute left MCA/PCA and ACA/MCA watershed infarcts

Acute left caudate head infarct

Sample Report

Area of loss of gray-white differentiation in the left parietal lobe along the MCA/PCA watershed zone concerning for acute infarct. No evidence of hemorrhagic transformation or associated mass effect. Recommend brain MRI without contrast for further evaluation.

Age-indeterminate left caudate head infarct, which can also be further evaluated with MRI.

No acute hemorrhage or mass effect.
