Findings
- Increased size and enhancement of the left parotid gland relative to the right
- Multiple small centrally hypoattenuating parotid lesions
- Enlarged left cervical lymph nodes
Diagnosis
Parotiditis with suppurative intraparotid lymph nodes
Sample Report
Enlarged, hyperenhancing left parotid gland consistent with parotiditis. Multiple intraparotid centrally fluid attenuation structures likely represent suppurative lymph nodes (intranodal abscesses) in the setting of acute parotiditis. Recommend ENT follow-up and possibly repeat imaging to exclude underlying parotid mass.
Enlarged left cervical lymph nodes are most likely reactive.
