Diagnosis

Orbital pseudotumor aka idiopathic orbital inflammation

Sample Report

Asymmetric enlargement of the left superior muscle complex and left lateral rectus muscle with mild surrounding fat stranding. This appearance is most compatible with orbital pseudotumor (aka idiopathic orbital inflammation), with thyroid ophthalmopathy and orbital cellulitis thought to be less likely. Recommend ophthalmology evaluation.

Slight enlargement of the left lacrimal gland, which can also be seen with orbital pseudotumor. Asymmetric enlargement of the left infraorbital nerve can also be seen with orbital pseudotumor, particularly in the setting of IgG4-related disease
