Findings
- Acute clavicle fracture at the junction of the middle and distal thirds with 3.5 cm inferior displacement of the distal fracture fragment
- Marked inferior displacement of the entire right shoulder girdle which maintains its articulation with the distal clavicular fracture fragment
- Irregular skin tenting along the lateral margin of the proximal clavicular fracture fragment
- Glenohumeral alignment is maintained
Diagnosis
Scapulothoracic dissociation
Sample Report
Acute clavicle fracture at the junction of the middle and distal thirds with 3.5 cm inferior displacement of the distal fracture fragment.
Irregular skin tenting along the lateral margin of the proximal clavicular fracture fragment raises concern for open fracture.
Marked inferior displacement of the entire right shoulder girdle concerning for scapulothoracic dissociation. Recommend correlation with signs of arterial compromise.
Maintained articulation between the distal clavicular fracture fragment and the acromion. Glenohumeral alignment is also maintained.
