Demographics: 53 years old, Male
Indication: Trauma

Findings

  • Acute, comminuted, mildly displaced extra-articular scapular body fracture
  • Irregular contour of the humeral head
  • No joint dislocation, though there is mild widening of the right acromioclavicular joint
  • Mild degenerative changes of the glenohumeral joint
  • Os acromiale

Diagnosis

Scapular fracture

Sample Report

Acute, comminuted, mildly displaced extra-articular scapular body fracture.

Irregular contour of the humeral head, which is favored to relate to remote trauma. CT could provide further evaluation if there is clinical concern.

No joint dislocation, though there is mild widening of the right acromioclavicular joint suspicious for AC separation.

Mild degenerative changes of the glenohumeral joint.

Os acromiale, normal variant.
