Indication: Hip pain

Findings

  • Focal area of sclerosis in the medial aspect of the left femoral neck with cortical irregularity along the inferior aspect
  • Right os acetabuli
  • Bilateral coxa profunda

Diagnosis

Femoral neck stress fracture

Sample Report

Focal area of sclerosis in the medial aspect of the left femoral neck with cortical irregularity along the inferior aspect. These findings raise concern for incomplete femoral neck stress fracture. Consider cross-sectional imaging or bone scan for further evaluation.

No joint malalignment.

Joint spaces are maintained.

Right os acetabuli and bilateral coxa profunda, which although possibly incidental can be seen with pincer-type femoro-acetabular impingement.
