Demographics: 89 years old, Female
Indication: Fall, right hip pain

Findings

  • Acute fracture of the right superior pubic ramus with extension into the pubic body and 6 mm inferior displacement of the medial fracture fragment
  • Acute nondisplaced fracture of the right inferior pubic ramus
  • Left total hip arthroplasty without osteolysis
  • Geographic sclerosis in the right femoral head
  • Moderate degenerative changes of the right hip and sacroiliac joints
  • Partially imaged advanced degenerative changes of the lower lumbar spine
  • Osteopenia
  • Multiple surgical clips overlie the anatomic pelvis

Diagnosis

Obturator ring fractures

Sample Report

Acute fracture of the right superior pubic ramus with extension into the pubic body and 6 mm inferior displacement of the medial fracture fragment.

Acute nondisplaced fracture of the right inferior pubic ramus.

No diastasis of the pubic symphysis or sacroiliac joints.

Left total hip arthroplasty without osteolysis.

Geographic sclerosis in the right femoral head consistent with avascular necrosis. No subchondral collapse.

Moderate degenerative changes of the right hip and sacroiliac joints.

Partially imaged advanced degenerative changes of the lower lumbar spine.

Osteopenia.

Multiple surgical clips overlie the anatomic pelvis.
