Findings

Diagnosis

Transient patellar dislocation with lipohemarthrosis

Sample Report

Cortical irregularity along the medial margin of the patella and along the lateral margin of the lateral femoral condyle concerning for impaction fractures related to transient lateral patellar dislocation. An avulsion fracture from the medial patella is also a consideration.

Vertical linear lucency extending through the lateral margin of the fibular head on the oblique view may represent a vascular channel or nondisplaced fracture. CT could provide further assessment.

No joint malalignment at present.

Large lipohemarthrosis.

Mild tricompartmental degenerative changes.
