Findings

  • New impaction fracture of the lateral femoral condyle
  • Moderate knee joint effusion
  • Surgical changes related to prior ACL graft reconstruction
  • Similar ossific fragment adjacent to the medial tibial plateau

Diagnosis

Lateral femoral notch sign with ACL graft tear

Sample Report

New impaction fracture of the lateral femoral condyle, which raises concern for ACL graft tear. Consider MRI for further evaluation.

Moderate knee joint effusion.

Surgical changes related to prior ACL graft reconstruction.

Similar ossific fragment adjacent to the medial tibial plateau, which likely relates to prior MCL injury.

Joint spaces are maintained.
