Findings

  • No acute fracture or malalignment
  • Focal cortical thickening along the medial aspect of the distal femoral metaphysis

Diagnosis

Distal femoral stress fracture

Sample Report

No acute fracture or malalignment.

No joint effusion.

Focal cortical thickening along the medial aspect of the distal femoral metaphysis, which may represent a healing stress fracture or cortical-based lesion such as an osteoid osteoma. Consider MRI for further evaluation. Joint spaces are maintained.
